The Post-Approval Summit is only two months away! The Summit agenda will focus on post-approval, safety, comparative effectiveness, and real-world data from real-world studies.
Day two of the Summit will address the pressing issue of measuring effectiveness with real-world data and comparative effectiveness. Sessions will begin with discussion from Dr. Gail Wilensky, Senior Fellow of Project Hope, on the political and economic forces driving the development of a comparative effectiveness institute and new initiatives in implementing evidence-based data and decision making.
Following Dr. Wilensky's commentary, presentations will address the industry and payer perspectives on challenges and benefits of conducting comparative effectiveness research, obtaining and developing evidence for reimbursement, and evaluating evidence for formulary decision making. Speakers covering these topics include:

- Gilbert J. L'Italien, Sc.D, Group Director in Health Outcomes Research at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Yale University School of Medicine

- Dr. Richard Toselli, Vice President of Evidence Based Medicine in Medical Devices and Diagnostics at Johnson & Johnson
- Dr. Fadia T. Shaya, Associate Professor and Associate Director at the Center on Drugs and Public Policy at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Health Services Research
