Tom Florio is CEO of ADVANSTAR FASHION GROUP which owns MAGIC. As one of the largest fashion trade events in the world, the MAGIC Portfolio consists of WWD MAGIC, PROJECT, FN PLATFORM, SOURCING at MAGIC, MENS/WEAR, STREET, S.L.A.T.E and POOLTRADESHOW, together hosting over 5,000 fashion brands and 70,000 buyers and industry professionals.
Prior to joining Advanstar, Mr. Florio served as Senior Vice President Publishing Director of Condé Nast, with responsibilities for Vogue, Teen Vogue, Bon Appétit and Condé Nast Traveler.
At Vogue, Mr. Florio lead multi-media initiatives in digital, TV and film, and created Vogue Studio. Under Mr. Florio’s direction, Vogue became the world’s leading fashion magazine in advertising revenue and circulation. The historic September 2007 issue is the subject of RJ Cutler’s documentary, The September Issue.
Widely recognized for being an inspiring and visionary leader who has guided organizations to meet the challenge of an evolving world in media and technology, Mr. Florio also served as President of The New Yorker, directing the reorganization of the magazine and was publisher of Condé Nast Traveler and Gentleman’s Quarterly.
